The Iowa Department of Public Health (IDPH) Bureau of Emergency and Trauma Services (BETS) and the American College of Surgeons-Committee on Trauma, Iowa Chapter are hosting Iowa’s 2019 Trauma Conference on August 27 & 28, 2019.
Iowa’s 2019 Trauma Conference consists of a pre-conference training day with opportunities for professional development and hands on skills training. The Trauma Conference day focuses on clinical aspects of trauma care and emergency preparedness for healthcare and public health. The conference day is organized into five training tracks with the following focus areas: EMS, nursing, physicians, hospital preparedness, and public health preparedness. Participants may engage in any of the trainings provided in the various tracks.
Iowa’s Resident Paper Competition will be occurring the evening of August 27th. Winners of this paper competition will go on to compete at the Region VII 42nd Annual Committee on Trauma-Advances in Trauma Conference in December 2019.
